The STAT command provides general statistical information about file storage. The various command lines that can be specified are shown with an explanation of each form below.
If you type an empty command line, the STAT command calculates the storage remaining and prints the following message: SPACE: nnnK
The command line can also specify a set of files to be scanned by STAT. The files that satisfy afn are listed in alphabetical order, with storage requirements for each file under the headings:
|RECS||the number of 128-byte records allocated to the file|
|BYTES||the number of kilobytes allocated to the file|
|EXT||the number of 16K extensions|
After listing the individual files, the storage usage is summarised.
